Alex Raban / Roll Wit Us Trailer 2

Alex Raban put up this trailer earlier today for Roll Wit Us, a video he and his Kill Ted crew friends have been working on for a while now, and is set to be released next month. I am looking forward to checking it out, especially Raban's part, he killed it for our video...which you can check out here, and I imagine will have an even better part in this.

Peg Leg 2009 Plans

I am really excited about 2009. We are kicking the year off with a roadtrip in January down to Florida. Looks like its going to be an awesome one with Phil Bartlett, Jeff Martin, Fakie Master, Matt Barchus, and Kenny Horton coming along. Its rare for that many of us to get together so that makes getting out of the cold that much better. I hope to use this trip as an opportunity to officially begin filming towards a new dvd project. Can't wait!

Along with riding plans, we have a lot in store on the product side of things. Starting Spring 09 all Peg Leg shirts will be printed on high quality ringspun cotton tees. We have a whole bunch of clothing concepts in the works, and some great illustrators/designers employed to help us out now. Fans of our early shirts will be pleased to see a new shirt design hand drawn by our original shirt artist Ray Kelly. Hats in the spring too, more info once we have some samples to show.

Travis Splain - Peg Leg DVD Section

Things are kind of slow here with winter having fully set in, so I figured it was a good time to put Travis Splain's section from our DVD up on vimeo for everyone to enjoy. Travis is currently working on a video called Business Casual, set to be released in 2009. He will have a section in it, along with the newest addition to the Peg Leg crew Andrew Mick.

Remembering my Gram Ethel

Ethel showing her love for Larry Bird, and humoring my older brother by flipping off the camera. Photo has to be nearly 10 years old.

My grandmother loved Christmas, her grandsons(my two brothers and myself), and the Celtics. I wanted to take the opportunity to acknowledge the passing of one of the most important people in my life, my grandmother Ethel last February. Christmas was her favorite, and we would always have to wait at the house til she arrived before we could open any presents. She is one of those people who really truly enjoyed the spirit of Christmas.

She was always super supportive of anything myself or my brothers were up to. Its no exaggeration to say it was a rare occasion when I saw her not wearing her red Peg Leg Eagle shirt the last couple years. When we printed our Celtics shirt earlier this year it was very much so in tribute to my grandmother and her love of the classic Celtics teams. I could go on an on about her passion for the Celtics of old, and how she would stay up and watch/listen to all the games on the tv/radio, read countless biographies of the players, even wrote in to a newspaper writer telling him it was wrong he didn't mention classic Celtics announcer Johnny Most in his article about the Celtic greats. She even refused to use Philadelphia brand cream cheese, because she felt at the time the 76'ers were rivals with the Celtics they were a bunch of dirty players.

Love you gram, you are dearly missed. No one could ask for a better grandmother.

Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays from all of us at Peg Leg. I would like to say thanks to anyone and everyone who has supported Peg Leg over the last 4 years. Every shirt order, every positive comment, anyone who has helped film, showed us spots in your area, whatever it may be, its all been really appreciated. I am saying this as 2009 is fast approaching, and I hope many of you out there will be into whats to come. Our New Year's resolution is to do more with the clothing than ever before, and start up a new DVD project.

Matt Barchus Sequences

These are a couple of sequences Sven Meszaros shot of Matt. The rail to bar is from over a year ago and the 360 this past spring. Sorry for the dated content, hopefully it won't be like that all winter. Not too much going on around here right now besides sitting around and watching about a foot of snow accumulate. Expect to see a lot of footage out of Matt in 09 including a section in the next SHOOK.

Winter Is Here

Winter has set in here in Massachusetts, snowed a bit and more to come later this week. I went down to Connecticut and rode with Jeff Martin, Fakie Master, and Matt Barchus this past weekend, but the weather was not all that cooperative. Phil Bartlett, Jeff Martin, and I have a winter escape trip planned to Florida in January. If you live anywhere along the way from MA to FL and want to show us around some street spots get in touch at peglegclothing@hotmail.com or on our myspace. We always like meeting new people and riding new spots.

The above photo really has nothing to do with winter being here. I had noticed the pigeon was missing one of its feet and hobbling around so I shot some video of it. Sven Meszaros tried to get a photo of the Peg Leg pigeon while the leg with the missing foot was visible but was unsuccessful.

CT Visitors

Jeff Martin, Ian McComber(fakie master), Wade Young and Birdseed came up for the weekend. Despite it being near freezing temperatures today we had a good time. Filmed a couple things and I shot the above photo of Jeff Martin doing a gap to wallride.
