I took this photo of Jeff Martin during the summer of 2010, during a time he and I did some filming together in Massachusetts and down in NYC. I was working to finish up my part in the OSS Football DVD and having Jeff around killing it was super motivating. This rail is by far one of the craziest I have seen anyone ride in person. If it looks familiar its because Jeff double pegged and crooked it in his Peg Leg DVD section(remix below). Jeff has been so good for so long, with those original clips dating back to 06.

I am flying out tomorrow to stay in Long Beach at the OSS house! Past couple weeks have been rough and I am really looking forward to riding and taking some photos out there. 2011 was a good year for me overall and I am glad to be taking another trip before its over! Denver Nugs cover art and rider list below, along with words about the project taken from TCU.

"So we’re finally dropping some info about the new OSS DVD “DNVR NGS”. We took the entire team as well as a bunch of friends out to Denver for the entire month of September, rented a house with a hot tub and then proceeded to ride as many spots as possible and drank as much light beer as we could get our hands on. Then we came home, edited it all up into a 20 minute package and we’re dropping it for FREE. It won’t be ready for another week or so but we’re all really excited for everyone to see it, it’s 100% street and Mike Mastroni handled all the editing so you know it’s on point. OSS rented a house in Denver for the month of September and I am lucky enough to be out here the whole time. Adam's plan is to film a promo DVD while here to be released along with a bunch of new product! Along with riding I am taking photos of the crew for the launch of a new OSS site. Peg Leg's own Alex Raban will be visiting at the end of the month and I am real excited to get to ride with him again. In addition to footage of Raban and myself in the OSS promo, Peg Leg will be putting together a short edit to be featured on the DVD as well.

Went out with my older brother today to meet up with a friend of his that he has skated with for years. We had a great time riding/skating flat and these mellow curb island banks. Towards the end of the day I got my camera out, and my brother suggested I setup to shoot a barspin of myself. After a few tries my brother got the timing right on one that felt solid to me.

Alex Raban and Brandon Eckles returned recently from a five week European trip. The edit features skateparks and a little street from England, Barcelona, Marseille, Italy, Prague, Cologne and Berlin. I have seen some of the street clips Raban filmed while over there, and he killed it despite still recovering from a car accident prior to the trip. This past February I met up with Richard Mungall and his friend Thomas Hirat in Barcelona. Thomas lives in Limoges, France and has been friends with Mungall for a number of years and they made a cross country trip in the US together a while back. Anyways while we were hanging out in Barcelona Thomas mentioned having worked with a friend to put together a local video a couple months prior. I was interested in checking it out and now Rich has uploaded it to vimeo and I am sharing it on here as well. I enjoyed getting to see it finally and hopefully I will get a chance to ride with Thomas again in the future.

This video was originally premiered at a venue in Limoges one year ago as the centerpiece of a freestyle/music show. It was filmed entirely in Limoges, Nantes, and Angoulême, France. It was created around the experiences of vibes, flows, friends, connections, and architectures, centered in the Limoges scene. Rather than separating people, clips, and time, this video worked only within a unified whole of social connections in which I found myself when I was there on a trip in the summer of 2009.

Jeff Martin's home office

I haven't posted on here all that much the last couple months. The weather has gotten colder, but all that means is its time to take some trips! I am off to Cali to do some filming for OSS later this week. Then again in January with Phil Bartlett, and Jeff Martin. We will be staying with Raban that visit and I am really looking forward to getting out filming with the three of those dudes together.

Jeff Martin is now riding for Eastern Bikes, most likely causing mischief around Terryville, and has an interview coming out in the next issue of DIG. Clay, Jeremy, and Robbie put on another Street Fighter Jam a few weeks ago and we hooked it up with some shirts for the event. They have talked about making the drive up to Cali to meet up while I am out that way, and I am hopefully going to plan a trip to Arizona for late winter/early spring. Can't believe 2010 is almost over...6 fun years of Peg Leg and looking to bring out some great stuff in 2011!

Hit up THEM for a copy of the OSS DVD. I went to the premiere this weekend in Brooklyn, and the video came out awesome. Really psyched to have had a chance to be a part of the project. There are a couple PL crew dudes in the friends section, and OG Peglegger Alex Platt has his best footage since the Peg Leg DVD. Video is rad from start to finish, with each part really being different from one another...Garrett Reeves who holds down the last section with some video part of the year type shit.

We have two new shirts coming out very soon! First up is our classic Pirate Girl graphic, which we first ran in 2005. Although it wasn't printed until after a couple other shirts, the Pirate Girl was the our very first design. These will be available on white shirts only.

We are also coming out with a new take on the Flamingo image from a while back. You will be able to order these on black shirts with white print and also dark chocolate brown shirts with orange print. We expect to have both shirts available a week from now.

Alex Raban sent some of these shots over to ODI from his stay out here in Massachusetts. While he was around he managed to log 20+ solid clips...pretty much a video part in two weeks. We made a trip to NYC to stay with Adam Grandmaison who gave us a real good tour of spots in Brooklyn. We picked up Jeff Martin on the way down and got some filming done towards a welcome to edit for his new frame sponsor The Make. Always good riding/hanging with Martin, nonstop laughs. It was great having Raban out this way and I can't wait to get to meet up with him again on either coast. Look for an amazing DVD section out of Raban late this year for a video Ian Munroe, Chris Arriaga, Cody Bowers, and himself have in the works.

Cream Magazine has their latest issue out, and I was excited to see a copy arrive in the mail the other day. I shot an article for Cream last issue and received a copy, but was not expecting to get the new one as well. Thank you for that Alain...I have always been a huge fan of bmx mags and to have another one showing up is definitely appreciated and enjoyed.

Celtics ELIMINATE the Cavs!

I went to Game 6 last night in Boston and damn was that a great game! I thought being there for the Game 4 win was awesome, but seeing the whole team contribute in knocking out MVP Lebron and the rest of the Cavalier goons was amazing. Celtics get blown out in Game 3 at home and what do they do...win the next three and close out the series against "the best team in the league." Enjoy your MVP Trophy...the Celtics have their eyes on a championship!

I don't think I have to even mention how well Ray, Pierce, KG and Rondo have played...so I will give it up to Tony Allen! My older brother and I have been saying all year that Tony should be in the regular rotation, and he has proven himself in the playoffs for sure. He is more than a great defender he is also one the best guys the C's have on the fast break. Best dunks on the team too! It should also be noted that Rasheed Wallace has played harder since being called out by Doc Rivers. Sheed has contributed significantly to two of our wins against the Cavs, including the series clincher last night!

Oh yeah and Charles Barkley(along with most national commentators)...stop always picking the favorite to crush the underdog. Its not about the team with the "better players"...its the BETTER TEAM that wins!
